MEET "TEAM QA-INSPECTIONS"

Gerry Lizotte

 

Gerry retired as an engineer from Central Maine Power in 2015 and has since joined the QA- Inspection team for an upcoming project scheduled in the fall of  2025. In his previous role, he was responsible for overseeing the quality of construction of substation facilities related to the Maine Power Reliability Program. This included ensuring that contractors complied with safety regulations throughout the construction process and adhered to the standards and timelines outlined in the contract agreements. Additionally, he monitored the construction progress and provided daily and weekly reports. 



Trystin Shea

 Trystin has over five years of experience in the construction industry. He began working with the QA-Inspections team when it was established in January 2024. Trystin has a strong background in construction and has previously held several positions, including foreman and operator, at a family-owned construction company.  He has demonstrated proficiency in completing daily field reports specific to projects, interpreting civil drawings, and ensuring that contractors adhere to project specifications.

Jason Pellenz

  Jason has recently joined the QA-Inspection team and brings over 10 years of experience in the construction industry. His thorough understanding of construction procedures, along with his exceptional organizational and leadership skills, has supported his professional growth in this field. He has successfully implemented contracts and managed modifications related to change orders. Additionally, Jason has overseen multimillion-dollar budgets and demonstrates a strong aptitude for problem-solving and decision-making. He is dedicated to maintaining rigorous safety standards and ensuring quality in all aspects of the construction process. 



Michael Orr

 Michael is an experienced chief operator with over 25 years in wastewater treatment management. He has been part of the QA-Inspection team since 2024. Michael possesses a deep understanding of wastewater and sewer operations, as well as construction related to these systems and drinking water. He is well-regarded for his troubleshooting skills and for enhancing customer satisfaction. Prior to joining our team, he worked as a Resident Project Representative (RPR) for Wright-Pierce Engineering.

Jacob Pellenz

  


Jacob has recently joined the QA-Inspection team. Jacob is in his Junior year at UMO, earning his degree in civil engineering. His thorough understanding of construction procedures, along with his exceptional organizational and leadership skills, has supported his professional growth in this field. Over the past year, he has interned with the Sanford Maine Water District. Additionally, Jason has helped oversee multimillion-dollar budgets here in Maine and demonstrates a strong aptitude for problem-solving and decision-making. He is dedicated to maintaining rigorous safety standards and ensuring quality in all aspects of the construction process.

QA-Inspections, LLC is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a qualified candidate to join our team as a Resident Project Representative (RPR) starting in May of 2025. If you’re eager to elevate your career and live in this area, we would love to hear from you!

This position involves executing moderately complex inspection duties associated with a range of heavy civil engineering projects, with construction values between $1 million and $15 million. The role requires the performance of various technical tasks in both field and office settings, employing independent judgment and decision-making. The candidate will assume the role of an RPR on active construction projects. Key responsibilities include monitoring and enforcing the contractor's work to ensure compliance with standard specifications and contract requirements. Work is conducted under limited supervision. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated construction documentation experience and a thorough understanding of the owner's representative role. This position will report to the resident engineer or their designated representative.

  • Conduct and document field observations for construction activities performed by the contractor including but not limited to sanitary sewer and storm water collection, underground utilities, civil site work, architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, instrumentation, and electrical installations.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and related codes and standards.
  • Ensure installed work conforms to design documents, approved submittals, regional standards, local codes and best construction practices.
  • Identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents. Communicate deficiencies to proper persons.
  • Communicate and coordinate with construction contractors, municipal and private property owners in a cooperative, productive manner while serving the best interest of the client.
  • Discuss plans, specifications and work schedules with project manager and engineers, contractors, utility companies and other governmental agencies.
  • Communicate and enforce construction quality standards
  • Follows company safety policies and procedures. Wears and works in proper personal protective equipment.
  • Construction management, foreman experience
  • Utility installation, specifically with Sewer & Water piping, storm water etc.
  • Wastewater treatment plant experience, both operation, and construction.
  • Travel from Northern Maine to southern New England states.

  • Treatment plant experience is prefered
  • Instrumentation, HVAC and electrical systems is a plus
  • Experience with Fulcrum, Bluebeam, Submittal Exchange, Red Team, and/or Procore

Education

  • 4-year degree or 10 years of directly related work experience
